We are proud to be partnering with a leading tax practice in London who are recruiting an experienced and qualified Personal Tax Senior to lead a high-performing team within their specialist tax practice.
The successful candidate will take responsibility for a portfolio of expatriate clients with both US and UK tax obligations.
Key duties include:
- Preparation and review of personal tax returns
- Advising on cross border tax issues
- Analysing double tax treaty positions
- Supporting clients with residency and foreign reporting requirements
The role requires regular communication with clients, the ability to resolve technical tax queries, and effective collaboration with colleagues to deliver a seamless service.
Alongside compliance work, the position offers exposure to tax planning projects, technical research, and opportunities to help enhance internal processes and best practice across the team. This is a full time role with hybrid working.
Requirements:
- ATT/CTA qualification, or equivalent chartered certified accountant status
- Strong experience in US and UK individual tax compliance, including preparation and review of returns and related filings
- Progressive experience in personal tax, ideally within a professional services firm or tax advisory practice
- Expertise in tax return preparation, compliance and advisory services for private clients
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal and client engagement skills with the ability to simplify complex tax concepts
- High attention to detail, strong organisational skills and a commitment to accuracy and quality
- Proficiency in tax software (e.g., CaseWare, TaxCalc, Thomson Reuters) and Microsoft Office Suite
