TPF Recruitment are delighted to support a leading accountancy practice with the recruitment of a Personal Tax professional to join their growing team in Steyning. This opportunity is for a forward‑thinking and rapidly expanding firm that prides itself on providing tailored business advice and tax solutions across a wide range of clients. With over three decades of experience the firm combines traditional accountancy expertise with modern advisory services to help clients achieve their goals.
The Role
To match continued growth the firm is seeking a motivated and ambitious Personal Tax Semi‑Senior or Senior to strengthen their established team. The successful candidate will work with a variety of clients supporting them across both compliance and advisory areas and will have genuine scope for progression within a dynamic and supportive environment.
Your responsibilities will vary depending on experience but may include:
- Preparing tax returns for individuals and partnerships
- Preparing ERS and EMI returns
- Completing P11D forms and PSA calculations
- Handling client queries and HMRC correspondence
- Assisting with capital gains tax and inheritance tax matters
- Supporting partners with specialist tax consultancy projects
- Identifying and implementing tax planning opportunities
- Managing your own workflow and client portfolio
There is also the potential to gain exposure to trust estates and corporate tax consultancy if desired.
Requirements
About You
- A minimum of 2 years experience in personal tax within an accountancy practice
- ATT / CTA qualification (or part‑qualified/qualified by experience)
- Excellent communication and client‑relationship skills
- The ability to explain complex tax matters in clear, practical terms
- Strong IT skills, particularly in Excel; experience with CCH software is beneficial
- A full UK driving licence and access to your own transport
Salary: £40,000–£50,000, dependent on experience and background (negotiable).
