Do you want to join a growing team of chartered accountants in Newbury as an Audit Trainee? We're supporting a national accountancy practice who are looking to grow their audit team with an additional member of staff. This is an exciting position, where you will work in an audit capacity servicing a varied portfolio of clients across the South-East. Our client is offering full study support and on the job training.

The remit of the position will be built around the candidate's experience but will include:

  • Prepare analysis of accounting data from clients’ books and records.
  • Active engagement with client staff in the gathering of appropriate audit evidence.
  • Build strong relationships with new and established clients.
  • Adherence to budget and timetable, bringing matters to the attention of the senior or manager, particularly when actual time is in excess of budget.
  • Involvement in the planning, execution and finalisation of the audit assignment supporting the Senior or Manager, depending on experience.
  • Assist within the wider team by obtaining audit evidence necessary to support the opinions given.

Requirements:

  • The role will suit any of an AAT qualified and/or, studying/part qualified/ finalist ACA/ACCA accountant or Graduate.
  • Candidates with 6-18 months’ experience will also be considered as a more Senior option.
  • 2.1 degree or above preferable in a finance related degree - Economics, mathematics, accounting, finance etc.
  • Minimum of C in English & Maths at A Level/ GCSEs.
