TPF Recruitment are currently supporting a highly regarded firm of Chartered Accountants with offices across the South East, who are looking to recruit an Audit Assistant or Audit Semi-Senior to join their growing team. The Role

As an Audit Assistant / Semi-Senior, you will work closely with Managers and Seniors across a broad range of audit and accounts assignments for owner-managed businesses and corporate clients. Responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with statutory audits for limited companies across a variety of sectors
  • Preparing statutory accounts and supporting working papers
  • Carrying out substantive testing and analytical review work
  • Supporting the completion of corporation tax computations
  • Liaising with clients to gather information and resolve queries professionally
  • Working closely with senior members of the team to deliver assignments efficiently and accurately
  • Building knowledge of accounting standards, audit regulations, and compliance requirements
  • Contributing positively to the wider team and supporting junior team members where appropriate

Requirements

  • Must have previous experience working in an external audit role within an accountancy practice environment
  • Exposure to audit assignments for UK limited companies
  • Studying ACA or ACCA, or qualified by experience
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage deadlines effectively
  • Experience using software such as Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, or KashFlow
  • A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Benefits

  • Salary circa £28,000 - £36,000 depending on experience and qualification status
