TPF Recruitment are proud to partner with an established and rapidly-growing firm of Chartered Accountants in Newbury, who are looking for an experienced Accounts Senior, or Client Manager to join their team. This is a key role managing a varied portfolio of owner-managed businesses and supporting junior staff, with clear progression opportunities as the firm continues to grow.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of SME and OMB clients
  • Prepare and review statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
  • Prepare and/or review corporation tax computations and returns
  • Oversee the preparation of management accounts and VAT returns
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients, building strong, long-term relationships
  • Review work prepared by junior team members, providing mentoring and technical support
  • Ensure work is completed accurately and in line with current accounting and tax standards

Requirements

  • Ideally ACA or ACCA qualified, but QBE candidates with strong practice will definitely be considered.
  • Strong background within a UK accountancy practice
  • Experience working directly with clients and reviewing accounts work
  • Good working knowledge of UK accounting and tax regulations
  • Confident communicator with a client-focused approach
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines
