TPF Recruitment, Kent’s leading accountancy practice recruitment agency, is exclusively recruiting for a Part Time Accounts & Tax Manager to join a highly regarded firm of chartered accountants in Maidstone. This successful and growing practice supports a diverse client base across a wide range of industries, delivering services including accounts, tax, bookkeeping, payroll, VAT and management accounts, alongside more specialist advisory work.

As a Part Time Accounts & Tax Manager, you will take on a varied and hands-on role, managing your own portfolio while supporting and developing the wider team. You will play a key part in both compliance and advisory work, with the opportunity to add real value to your clients.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a varied portfolio of SME and owner managed business clients
  • Reviewing statutory accounts and tax work prepared by junior staff
  • Remaining hands-on across accounts and tax where required
  • Acting as the main point of contact for your clients
  • Identifying advisory opportunities and supporting client growth
  • Mentoring, supervising and developing junior team members
  • Contributing to business development and gradually building your own fee base

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Manager looking to join a progressive and supportive firm with genuine scope for progression.

You will have a career background in accountancy practice preparing a mix of accounts, tax, management accounts, bookkeeping, and VAT services for a variation of clients to include limited companies, partnerships and sole traders. You will have at least 3 - 5 years' experience, or more ideally gained within accountancy practice and be looking to further your career. You will be ACCA/ACA qualified or have developed your career through experience only.

Benefits include:

  • £45,000 - £55,000 FTE dependent on experience and background, negotiable.
