TPF Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a highly reputable, forward thinking firm of Chartered Accountants in Maidstone, who are looking to appoint an Audit Assistant Manager to join their growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well established practice with a strong regional presence, offering a great mix of audit and accounts work, exposure to a varied client base, and genuine progression prospects.
The Role
As an Audit Assistant Manager, you will take on a varied and hands on role, working across both audit and accounts assignments. You will manage your own portfolio while supporting managers and partners on larger engagements.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading audits from planning through to completion
- Preparing statutory accounts for a wide range of clients
- Working with owner managed businesses, SMEs, and larger corporates
- Supervising and mentoring junior staff
- Acting as a key point of contact for clients
- Ensuring compliance with UK GAAP (FRS 102) and relevant regulations
Requirements
- ACA or ACCA qualified, or nearing qualification
- Strong experience in a mixed audit and accounts role within practice
- Good technical knowledge and a proactive approach
- Confident communicator with strong client facing skills
- Ability to manage workloads and meet deadlines
