TPF Recruitment, a leading accountancy practice recruitment agency, is recruiting for an excellent firm of chartered accountants in Wimbledon. This forward-thinking practice is recruiting an Accounts & Tax Senior / Manager to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fantastic local firm of accountants at a key part of their growth journey. Our client is a general practice firm of chartered accountants who provide a mix of accountancy and tax services to local businesses. They promote a relaxed environment and a great work-life balance too.
You will be responsible for:
- Reviewing and finalising statutory accounts prepared by the team
- Overseeing corporation and personal tax computations and returns
- Providing ad hoc advisory support and identifying opportunities to add value to clients
- Ensuring work is delivered to a high technical standard and within agreed deadlines
- Providing excellent communication to clients during your extensive client contact
- Line managing two direct reports, providing support, guidance and ongoing development
- Reviewing work prepared by the team and providing clear, constructive feedback
- Assisting with workflow planning, deadlines and capacity management
- Supporting training and development plans for junior team members
- Contributing positively to team culture and collaboration
Practice Support:
- Liaising with partners and senior management on portfolio matters
- Supporting continuous improvement of processes and systems
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory and professional standards
Requirements
The Ideal Candidate:
- ACA or ACCA qualified, or qualified by experience
- Strong background in general practice accountancy
- Proven experience managing a client portfolio independently
- Previous experience supervising or managing staff
- Confident reviewing accounts and tax work
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills
- Well organised with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Experience using a range of accounting software, including Xero, Freeagent, TaxCalc, Quickbooks
£48,000 - £55,000 dependent on experience and background plus annual bonus of up to 10%. Flexible, hybrid working (likely 1 day from home) offered after settling period.
