TPF Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a well-established, independent accountancy practice in the TW area that is looking to recruit an experienced Bookkeeper to join their friendly and close-knit team. This is a great opportunity to join a growing firm that offers a varied role, strong client interaction and a supportive working environment. The practice works with a broad range of clients including SMEs, owner-managed businesses and individuals, providing high-quality bookkeeping and advisory support.
The Role
As a Bookkeeper, you will manage your own portfolio of clients and take responsibility for delivering accurate and timely bookkeeping and VAT services. Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing a portfolio of bookkeeping clients across a variety of industries
- Processing sales and purchase invoices, bank reconciliations and general ledger entries
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records
- Assisting with the preparation of management accounts
- Liaising directly with clients and acting as a key point of contact for day-to-day queries
- Supporting clients with cloud accounting systems and providing guidance where required
- Assisting with year-end processes and working closely with the accounts team
- Identifying opportunities to improve client processes and efficiencies
Requirements
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will likely have:
- Previous experience in a bookkeeping role within an accountancy practice
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and VAT processes
- Experience using cloud accounting software such as Xero, Sage or QuickBooks
