This client works with a diverse portfolio of clients ranging from small owner‑managed businesses to larger SMEs, providing a mix of accounts, tax, and advisory services. They are known for their collaborative culture, strong client relationships, and commitment to professional development.

About the Role

This is a varied and hands‑on position where you will be responsible for delivering high-quality accountancy and tax services, and, if you have experience, supporting audit engagements. Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
  • Preparing and submitting personal, partnership, and corporate tax returns
  • Managing client bookkeeping and reconciliations where required
  • Advising clients on tax planning and compliance matters
  • Supporting audit assignments if you have prior experience
  • Liaising directly with clients to resolve queries and provide professional guidance
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to deliver excellent client service

The role offers variety, autonomy, and the chance to work closely with clients while being supported by a friendly and approachable team.

Requirements

Who We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

  • ACA, ACCA, or part-qualified status, or equivalent professional experience
  • Solid experience preparing accounts and handling tax compliance
  • Prior audit experience is desirable but not essential
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
  • Confidence in client-facing situations with professional communication skills
  • Experience with accounting software such as Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, or similar
