TPF Recruitment is supporting a well-established and growing accountancy practice in Chichester with the recruitment of an Accountant to join their Accounts team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced practice accountant to work with a varied portfolio of clients whilst supporting Portfolio Managers with the efficient delivery of accounts, tax compliance, and wider client services. The role also offers the opportunity to mentor junior team members and play an active role within a collaborative and supportive environment.
As an Accountant, you will:
- Prepare year end accounts for Limited Companies, LLPs, Sole Traders, and Partnerships.
- Prepare corporation tax computations and returns using the CCH software suite.
- Prepare and submit personal tax returns, whilst dealing with related client queries.
- Resolve file review points and prepare accounts packs and submission letters for clients.
- Assist with ad hoc assignments throughout the year, including P11Ds and ATED work.
- Work to predefined client budgets and deadlines, ensuring work is delivered accurately and efficiently.
- Support and mentor junior members of the team, assisting with their development and training.
- Ensure compliance with internal procedures, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain efficient processes and deliver a high level of client service.
Requirements
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- AAT Level 4 qualified or qualified by experience.
- A minimum of three years' experience within an accountancy practice environment.
- Experience working with a varied portfolio of clients across multiple sectors.
- Strong knowledge of accounts preparation and tax compliance.
- Experience using accounting software and cloud-based systems.
- Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage deadlines effectively.
- Professional, reliable, and able to work effectively within a team environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the confidence to liaise with clients and colleagues.
