TPF Recruitment is supporting a growing and highly regarded accountancy practice in Chichester with the recruitment of a Bookkeeper to join their expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced bookkeeping professional looking to further develop their career within a supportive and modern practice environment.
Working from the Chichester office on a full time basis, you will support a varied portfolio of clients across bookkeeping, VAT, CIS, and management accounts, whilst gaining exposure to a broad range of businesses and industries.
As a Bookkeeper, you will:
- Process bookkeeping data using cloud based software including Dext, Xero, Sage, and QuickBooks.
- Accurately match, batch, and code client documentation.
- Carry out bank reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records.
- Prepare and submit VAT Returns in line with deadlines and client requirements.
- Prepare and submit CIS Returns.
- Assist with the preparation of management accounts, including basic commentary and analysis.
- Resolve bookkeeping queries, post adjustments, and correct errors with support from senior team members where required.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver an efficient and high quality service to clients.
- Undertake additional duties and responsibilities in line with the needs of the role and business.
Requirements:
- Previous bookkeeping experience within an accountancy practice environment.
- Experience using cloud accounting software including Xero, Sage, Dext, and QuickBooks.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
- Ability to manage deadlines and prioritise work across a varied client portfolio.
- Positive and proactive approach with a willingness to learn and develop.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
- AAT Level 3 qualified or studying towards this qualification would be advantageous.
