TPF Recruitment is supporting a really lovely independent accountancy practice based in Chatham, who are looking to recruit an Accounts & Tax Manager to join their growing team. The Role

You will work closely with the Directors and manage a portfolio of mainly owner managed business clients across a broad range of industries. The role will be a mix of accounts, tax and client management work, with the opportunity to get involved in supporting and mentoring junior members of staff.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a portfolio of clients
  • Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts
  • Preparing and reviewing corporation tax and personal tax returns
  • Advising clients on general accounting and tax matters
  • Supporting and mentoring junior team members
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Assisting the Directors with ad hoc projects and practice development work

Requirements

  • ACA or ACCA qualified, or qualified by experience
  • Strong background within an accountancy practice environment
  • Experience managing a portfolio of clients
  • Good knowledge of accounts and tax compliance work
  • Strong communication and client management skills
  • Organised, personable and able to work independently

Salary of £50,000 – £60,000 depending on experience

Full time or part time hours available
