TPF Recruitment are excited to be partnered with a leading chartered accountancy firm in Canterbury who are looking for a Personal Tax Manager to join their team. You will work in a medium sized, very successful tax team of around 15 tax staff, providing a varied personal tax service to a range of individuals, directors and high net worth individuals.
You will be responsible for your client portfolio, ranging from 250-300 clients and be responsible for:
- Have oversight of all personal tax clients across your allocated portfolio.
- Be responsible for all day to day tax compliance affairs of the clients in your portfolio, ensuring professional standards are met.
- Identify and consult with colleagues and the Tax Partner on complex technical and risk matters, whilst exercising judgement within agreed parameters.
- Provide advisory and planning service across CGT, IHT and Trusts.
- Agree fees with clients for compliance and advisory work, ensure timely client billings and cash collection.
- Develop professional relationships with clients and within the firm.
- Support junior members of staff and review their work.
Requirements
- ACCA / ACA / ATT or CTA qualified.
- Previous experience within personal tax compliance and planning experience a bonus.
- Solid experience of working within an accountancy practice.
- Ideally 5+ years' experience of working within Personal Tax.
- Excellent communication skills.
