TPF Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of a leading Top tier chartered accountancy practice who are looking for a Personal Tax Advisory Assistant Manager to join their growing team in Canterbury, Kent. This is a brilliant opportunity for an experienced Personal Tax Senior or Assistant Manager who is keen to step into a more advisory-focused position. You’ll join a highly respected practice with an excellent reputation across Kent and the UK, offering a supportive culture, hybrid working, and a comprehensive benefits package. The firm are flexible and will shape the role around your skills and aspirations, with the chance to focus more heavily on advisory work while still retaining some compliance exposure.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of private clients including high-net-worth individuals, international clients, and those with complex tax affairs.
  • Deliver advisory projects across areas such as Capital Gains Tax, Inheritance Tax and international tax matters.
  • Review and oversee personal tax compliance work prepared by junior staff, providing support and guidance where required.
  • Prepare and review self-assessment tax returns where necessary, ensuring a thorough and accurate service.
  • Work closely with partners and senior managers on tax planning projects and ad hoc advisory assignments.
  • Support and supervise junior members of the tax team, contributing to their development.

Requirements:

  • ATT, CTA, ACA or ACCA qualified (or part qualified with strong experience).
  • Experienced in personal tax within an accountancy practice, ideally with at least 3 years’ experience.
  • Confident with both compliance and advisory matters, with a genuine interest in developing their advisory skills further.
  • A strong communicator, able to build relationships with clients and provide clear tax advice.
  • Organised, efficient and able to manage deadlines effectively.

  • £50,000 – £55,000+ dependent on experience and background (negotiable).
