We are seeking a skilled and proactive Business Advisory & Accounting Executive to join our client's growing professional services team. This role is pivotal in delivering accurate financial reporting, strategic business advisory, and compliance solutions to a diverse client base across multiple industries. Responsibilities:

  • Lead the preparation, review, and submission of financial statements in compliance with UK GAAP and IFRS, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and regulatory alignment.
  • Deliver strategic business advisory services, including financial performance analysis, operational efficiency recommendations, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Manage and mentor a team of junior accountants and advisory professionals, supporting their development and maintaining high service delivery standards.
  • Oversee audit and assurance engagements from planning to completion, ensuring compliance with firm quality control and regulatory requirements.
  • Serve as the primary client contact, building trusted relationships and identifying opportunities for expanded service delivery.
  • Develop and present financial reports, executive dashboards, and actionable business insights to senior stakeholders and client leadership.
  • Monitor changes in accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory frameworks, implementing updates across engagements proactively.
  • Contribute to business development efforts, including proposal writing, client pitches, and innovation in service offerings.
  • Participate in internal quality reviews and support firm-wide compliance with professional and ethical standards.

Requirements:

  • Full ACCA or ACA qualification with active practice rights and professional membership.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting, audit, or business advisory within a professional services firm or corporate environment.
  • Demonstrated expertise in UK GAAP and IFRS, including complex accounting treatments and financial statement disclosures.
  • Proven track record in team leadership, performance management, and staff development.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to translate financial data into clear, strategic insights.
  • Advanced proficiency in accounting systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Xero, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel (including complex formulas and data modelling).
  • Client-focused approach with a history of delivering high-quality work under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Strong commitment to ethics, continuous learning, and maintaining the highest standards of professional integrity.
