TPF Recruitment is supporting a dynamic and growing accountancy firm with the recruitment of a Business Services Assistant Manager. This is an exciting opportunity for a newly or nearly qualified ACA or ACCA accountant with some practice experience to take responsibility for a client portfolio while developing their career within a supportive and ambitious firm. Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of clients, acting as the primary contact for businesses and individuals.
- Prepare statutory accounts and corporation tax returns.
- Prepare personal self-assessment tax returns.
- Provide commercial support and practical advice to clients.
- Assist with company secretarial matters and general practice compliance.
- Review and supervise the work of junior team members.
- Work collaboratively with other managers and senior staff.
- Contribute to business development initiatives and client growth opportunities.
Requirements Candidate Profile
- ACA or ACCA qualified, or nearly qualified (QBE considered for strong candidates).
- 1–3 years’ post-qualification experience in general practice preferred but not essential with the right experience.
- Experience preparing accounts, tax returns, and working with small to medium sized client portfolios.
- Strong attention to detail, initiative, and professional approach.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Comfortable using modern accounting software; familiarity with CCH, Sage, or Xero advantageous.
- Able to work independently while managing deadlines and priorities.
Benefits
- Salary: £40,000 - £50,000
- Holiday Allowance: 35 days of annual leave, inclusive of bank holidays.
