Job Description
TPF Recruitment is supporting a growing and ambitious firm of accountants in Bexhill with the recruitment of a Bookkeeper / Accounts Assistant. The Role
This varied position will see you working across both bookkeeping and accounts preparation. You will be involved with a wide range of clients, gaining valuable exposure to different sectors and business types.
Key Responsibilities
Bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients using cloud-based software
Preparing VAT returns and ensuring compliance with deadlines
Assisting with year-end accounts preparation
Reconciling bank statements and ledgers
Supporting the wider team with ad-hoc accounting tasks
Building and maintaining client relationships through excellent service
Requirements
Minimum AAT Level 3 qualified (or equivalent experience)
Strong bookkeeping knowledge and practical experience
Familiarity with cloud accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
A proactive and positive approach to work
Experience in an accountancy practice environment is desirable but not essential
