TPF Recruiting are supporting a fantastic firm of chartered accountants who are looking to recruit an Accounts Senior into their growing and highly successful team based in Aylesford, Kent. You will be based near Mid Kent - Maidstone, Medway, Tonbridge and will be responsible for your own client portfolio, providing them with a mixed service across accounts, tax, VAT and bookkeeping. Our client has seen excellent growth over the last 12 months and they are looking for an experienced Senior Practice Accountant to join their team as they grow further. They have a modern and relaxed working environment with a flexible approach and they offer a great work-life balance too. They are open to both full-time and part-time applicants. Their clients are completely mixed, across a range of sectors and sizes from sole traders, partnerships and Ltd companies through to multi-million pound groups.

You will be responsible for:

  • Preparation of annual accounts
  • Meetings with clients
  • Preparation of corporate tax returns
  • Partnership returns & individual self-assessment tax returns
  • Preparation of VAT returns
  • Some basic bookkeeping work
  • Overseeing the work of more junior team members and supporting them accordingly
  • There is the opportunity to do some audit work if you are interested but it is not essential and full training will be provided

Requirements for this Senior Practice Accountant position, you will be:

  • ACCA/ACA qualified, studying, or qualified by experience
  • 3-5+ years practice experience
  • Experience of Xero, Sage or QuickBooks would be advantageous
  • Commutable from Mid Kent - Maidstone, Medway, Tonbridge, Ashford, Chatham, Rochester, Gillingham, Faversham etc.

Benefits as a Senior Practice Accountant, you will be offered:

  • £35,000 - £45,000 dependent on experience and background, negotiable.
