TPF Recruitment is supporting a fantastic firm of chartered accountants in Ashford with the recruitment of a Tax Manager.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced tax professional to join a highly regarded and successful accountancy practice. Depending on your experience and career aspirations, the position can be tailored towards either a personal tax focused role or a broader mixed tax capacity.

You will manage a varied portfolio of clients while supporting the wider tax team and contributing to the continued growth of the department. The position will involve a combination of compliance, tax planning and advisory work.

Responsibilities will include:

• Managing a varied portfolio of tax clients
  
• Reviewing and preparing complex tax returns
  
• Providing proactive tax planning and advisory services
  
• Supporting clients with a range of personal and wider tax matters
  
• Managing client relationships and acting as a key point of contact
  
• Reviewing work completed by junior members of the team
  
• Supporting the development and training of less experienced colleagues
  
• Identifying opportunities to provide additional services to clients
  
• Assisting the partners with more complex tax assignments
  

Requirements

• Strong tax experience gained within an accountancy practice
  
• ATT, CTA or equivalent qualification would be advantageous
  
• Strong technical knowledge of UK taxation
  
• Experience managing a portfolio of clients
  
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills
  
• Previous experience reviewing work and supporting junior colleagues would be beneficial
  
• £50,000 to £60,000, depending on experience
