TPF Recruitment, Kent’s leading accountancy practice recruitment agency is recruiting for a Senior Accountant to join a fantastic accountancy practice based in Ashford. This successful accountancy practice provides a comprehensive range of services for clients across all industries. Services include accounts, tax, bookkeeping, payroll and VAT.

As a Senior Accountant at their Ashford office, you will play a hands-on role, reporting directly into the partner, managing your own portfolio of clients and overseeing the work of junior staff. Your responsibilities will include preparing accounts and tax returns, and overseeing bookkeeping and VAT preparation. This role offers increasing client interaction and strong career progression potential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparing accounts and tax returns for a range of sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
  • Overseeing bookkeeping and VAT returns, prepared by junior members of staff
  • Regular client interaction
  • Reporting directly to the Partner
  • Involvement in strategic business planning for clients, including supporting with tax planning
  • Collaborating with the managers and partners to support and drive the firm’s growth
  • Supporting junior members of staff with their work
Requirements:

You will have a career background in accountancy practice preparing a mix of accounts, tax, bookkeeping, and VAT services for a variation of clients to include limited companies, partnerships and sole traders. You will have at least 3 - 5 years' experience, or more ideally gained within accountancy practice and be looking to further your career. You will be ACCA/ACA qualified or have developed your career through experience only.

Benefits:

£40,000 - £50,000 dependent on experience and background, negotiable. A highly competitive benefits package is also on offer.
