TPF Recruitment is supporting an excellent chartered accountancy practice based in Maidstone who are looking for an Accounts & Tax Manager to join their experienced team across a general accounts and tax focused position. This position will enable you to work very closely with the partner and support them with the larger more prestigious clients of the business where youll be able to learn and develop advisory skills in areas such as advising on business transactions and general corporate finance. As an Accounts and Tax Manager you will report directly to the partner and be responsible for a mixed client portfolio made up of small business owners through to significantly sized groups. Dependent on your interests there will be an opportunity to support the partner with more technical advisory project work but this isnt essential. You will have the opportunity for hybrid working and flexible working hours. This is a great position with an excellent firm who promote a great work life balance and modern culture. You will be responsible for: Prepare and review annual statutory accounts corporation partnership and personal tax returns. Prepare monthly and quarterly accounts and VAT returns. Managing your client portfolio and client relations. Oversee and review the work of more junior staff and bookkeepers. Onboard new clients and assist the partners with adhoc consulting and systems implementation work as required. Requirements You will be ACA/ACCA or qualified by experience with at least 5 years experience within practice. You will have worked as a Senior Accountant /Team Leader/ Client Manager/ Manager within a practice environment and have hands on experience of accounts management accounts tax and VAT.
