This firm has built an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality accounting, tax, and advisory services to a diverse portfolio of clients across various sectors. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a dedicated Accounts Assistant to join their friendly and supportive team.
As an Accounts Assistant, you will play a key role within the firm’s accounts team, assisting in the preparation of financial statements and management accounts for a broad range of clients, including sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies. You will be working closely with senior staff and partners, gaining valuable exposure to all aspects of general practice work.
Key Responsibilities:- Preparing accounts from incomplete records for a variety of clients.
- Assisting with bookkeeping and VAT return preparation.
- Supporting the preparation of management accounts.
- Liaising with clients to obtain necessary information and resolve queries.
- Assisting with ad-hoc accounting and administrative duties as required.
Applications are invited from individuals wishing to work in accountancy general practice who:
- Have obtained the AAT accounting qualification, or
- Have experience of working in practice but are not looking to study further, or
- Are unqualified but experienced in accounts preparation from incomplete records in a practice environment and not wishing to study for a qualification.
- Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills.
- Confident communicator with excellent client-facing skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in accounting software.
