Accounts Semi Senior / Accounts Assistant
Location: Alton, Hampshire
Salary: £25,000 – £30,000 (depending on experience)
TPF Recruitment are delighted to be working with a well-established and friendly firm of Chartered Accountants based in Alton, Hampshire, who are looking for an Accounts Semi Senior (or an experienced Accounts Assistant) to join their growing team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with some previous experience in accountancy practice who is looking to build on their skills and progress their career in a supportive environment.
About the Role
You\’ll be working closely with a diverse client portfolio, including limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships across a variety of industries. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Preparing limited company accounts and corporation tax returns
- Completing self‑assessment tax returns for individuals and partnerships
- Assisting with VAT returns and management accounts preparation
- Supporting clients with queries and providing excellent customer service
- Working as part of a collaborative team, ensuring deadlines are met and quality standards maintained
This is a role that will grow with you. As your knowledge develops, you\’ll have the chance to take on more responsibility and become an integral part of the client service team.
Requirements
To be successful, you\’ll ideally have:
- Some experience within an accountancy practice (essential)
- A good understanding of accounts preparation and basic tax
- Experience with software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or similar
- A positive, can‑do attitude and a genuine interest in developing your career within practice
Whether you\’re AAT qualified, part‑qualified ACA/ACCA, or currently studying, our client offers full support to help you progress your qualifications and career.
