Accounts and Audit Assistant Manager / Manager We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified Accounts and Audit Assistant Manager/Manager to join our clients growing team in central London. This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy, compliance and timeliness of financial reporting across a diverse portfolio of clients. The successful candidate will lead end-to-end audit engagements, supervise junior staff and act as a trusted advisor on financial controls, regulatory compliance and internal reporting. With a strong foundation in audit standards and accounting principles, this professional will help uphold the firm’s reputation for excellence and integrity. Responsibilities Lead and manage full-cycle audit engagements for mid-sized and large clients across multiple industries. Supervise, mentor, and develop junior audit team members to ensure high-quality deliverables and career progression. Prepare and review financial statements, statutory accounts, and audit reports in compliance with IFRS, UK GAAP, and ISA standards. Conduct comprehensive risk assessments, design effective audit plans, and execute rigorous testing procedures. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients’ finance teams, external advisors, and regulators to resolve queries and ensure timely document submission. Identify financial risks, internal control deficiencies, and opportunities for operational improvement. Stay current with evolving accounting standards, tax legislation, and audit regulations. Support business development through proposal writing, client pitches, and service innovation initiatives. Ensure strict adherence to firm policies, ethical guidelines, and quality control procedures. Collaborate with senior leadership on strategic planning, resource management and team performance reviews. RequirementsAccounts and Audit Assistant Manager / Manager Professional qualification in ACA or ACCA with full membership and active status. Minimum of 5 years of experience in audit and accounting, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or team leadership capacity. Demonstrated experience managing complex audit engagements across diverse sectors and client types. In-depth knowledge of IFRS, UK GAAP, and ISA, with practical application in audit environments. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities with meticulous attention to detail. Proficiency in audit software (e.g., CaseWare, TeamMate, or equivalent) and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
