In this role,you will take ownership of a portfolio of personal tax clients, overseeingcompliance work whilst supporting the Tax Manager and Partners with advisoryprojects. KeyResponsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of personal tax clients,including individuals, sole traders, and partnerships.
- Prepare and review personal tax computations andreturns to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Support Managers and Partners with advisorywork, particularly in Capital Gains Tax (CGT) and Inheritance Tax (IHT).
- Provide guidance and support to junior teammembers as required.
- Collaborate with other offices and departmentsas needed.
- Communicate with HMRC through email, letter, andtelephone.
- Liaise directly with clients to provideexceptional service and build strong working relationships.
- Prepare and review form P11Ds and ensure clientsare informed of impending deadlines.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes anddeliver additional value to clients.
Requirements
- You should be ATT/ CTA/ ACA/ ACCA qualified, orqualified by experience, with at least 3-5 years of experience in anaccountancy practice or personal tax role. Experience managing a portfolio ofclients, reviewing tax returns, and supporting advisory work is essential,along with proficiency in relevant tax computation software.
