Role Overview

Liquidnet is seeking an experienced and entrepreneurial ETF specialist to lead the development and growth of its ETF business globally.

The Head of ETF strategy and Execution will be responsible for defining and delivery Liquidnet's ETF strategy, including growing ETF revenues, strengthening client engagement and identifying new commercial opportunities across the ETF value chain.

This individual will serve as the business owner for ETFs within Liquidnet, working across trading, sales, product, technology and operations to drive both immediate commercial results and long-term strategic growth.

The role requires a unique combination of market structure expertise, commercial leadership, client engagement and strategic thinking.

The successful candidate should be capable of generating business and delivering revenue using existing capabilities from day one, whilst also helping shape the future development of Liquidnet's ETF offering.

The role reports to the EMEA head of Execution & Quantitative Services, who is tasked with developing and supporting a trading business, including a trading desk, strategies, analytics, resourced and processes that deliver financial results in alignment with our business objective.

  • Business Growth & Strategy
  • Develop, maintain and execute a clear strategic vision for the ETF business, including building business cases for strategic investment opportunities.
  • Identify opportunities to increase ETF revenues, client activity and market share.
  • Evaluate emerging market trends, client needs and competitive developments.
  • Client & Market Development
  • Develop senior relationships across the ETF ecosystem, including institutional investors, asset managers, market makers, issuers and exchanges.
  • Promote Liquidnet's ETF capabilities and strengthen the firm's profile within the ETF market, including representing Liquidnet at industry events and forums.
  • Identify new clients, partnerships and commercial opportunities.
  • Product & Platform Development
  • Act as the business owner for ETF-related products and initiatives.
  • Partner with Product and Technology teams to define priorities and drive delivery, and ensure these are aligned with the commercial objectives and client demand.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance existing capabilities and bring new solutions to market.
  • Internal Leadership
  • Act as the principal ETF subject matter expert across Liquidnet and TP ICAP.
  • Coordinate efforts across Sales, Trading, Product, Technology, Operations, Risk and Compliance.
  • Provide regular updates to senior management on business performance, opportunities and strategic priorities.
  • Help establish a clear roadmap for the growth and evolution of the ETF business.
