About the Role

The CRM Product Designer is a versatile, creative role within the Mosaic team, responsible for contributing to the development and execution of compelling, high-performing communications across various platforms for The Sun, with a strong focus on CRM and email marketing.

You will work closely with Design Directors, copywriters, and the wider creative team to build visually engaging campaigns that reach millions of readers. This role requires a solid understanding of design principles, brand guidelines, and responsive email design. You are curious about A/B testing and design performance, and you are keen to leverage the full capabilities of WPP Open and Figma to build seamless, multi-platform customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop High-Quality Visual Designs: Create engaging, responsive email templates, CRM communications, digital ads, social media content, and video assets.
  • Email Optimization: Design and implement layouts that provide optimal viewing experiences across various devices, screen sizes, and email clients, incorporating multimedia elements where appropriate.
  • Deliverability & Quality Control: Ensure all designs adhere to brand guidelines, are optimized for different media channels, and meet strict technical specifications for email deliverability.
  • Asset Preparation: Assist in the preparation and hand-off of design assets for final delivery, ensuring files are organised and production-ready.
  • Conceptualisation & Ideation: Contribute to brainstorming sessions and develop creative concepts that align with CRM goals, marketing objectives, and brand strategy.
  • Data-Driven Design: Translate strategic insights and CRM performance data into visually appealing ideas, demonstrating a growing understanding of The Sun’s audience and what drives their engagement.
  • A/B Testing Support: Collaborate with the marketing team to explore different visual styles and approaches to support A/B testing.
  • Figma Design Systems & CRM Scaling: Learn to leverage Figma's advanced features (e.g., auto-layout, components, variables, and plugins) to streamline workflows and improve team efficiency.
  • Design System Support: Help maintain and scale our CRM Design System, ensuring all design assets and templates are well-organized, accessible, and consistently formatted.
