We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and experienced 1:1 Secondary Tutor to support students across Wellingborough, Rushden, Corby, and Kettering. This role involves delivering tailored tuition either within school settings or in pupils’ homes during school hours. This is a rewarding opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting secondary‑aged students and helping them achieve their academic potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver personalised 1:1 tuition sessions in line with the KS3–KS4 curriculum
- Support students in core subjects such as English, Maths, and/or Science
- Adapt lessons to meet individual learning needs, including SEN
- Support GCSE preparation and coursework
- Build positive relationships to improve student engagement and confidence
- Track progress and provide feedback
- Adhere to safeguarding and compliance requirements
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years’ UK teaching or tutoring experience (secondary level)
- Strong knowledge of the UK secondary curriculum (KS3–KS4)
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently
Desirable
- QTS or currently completing a PGCE (Secondary)
- Experience working with SEN students
- Subject specialism (English, Maths, or Science)
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
