TP Tutors are seeking passionate and dedicated tutors to support students across the Northampton area. This role involves providing high-quality 1:1 tuition in English and Maths to learners who require additional support to reach their academic potential. Many of the students we support are currently outside of mainstream education or require additional support to re-engage with learning. Sessions may take place in students' homes, local libraries, or school settings. This role is ideal for educators who are passionate about making a difference in young people's lives by helping them build confidence, improve engagement, and achieve their academic goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging 1:1 tutoring sessions tailored to the learner's needs.
- Provide support in English and Maths (KS2 KS3 level or above).
- Adapt teaching approaches to support students with varying learning needs.
- Monitor progress and provide constructive feedback to support learning outcomes.
- Build positive relationships with students to encourage confidence and engagement.
Tutor Requirements
- Experience working with children or young people in an educational setting.
- Strong subject knowledge in English and Maths.
- Experience supporting students with SEND, SEMH, or additional needs is desirable.
- Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or teaching qualifications are preferred but not essential.
