We are currently seeking compassionate and dedicated 1:1 SEN Tutors to support students across the Leicester area. The Role
As a 1:1 SEN Tutor, you will work closely with students who require additional support with their learning. You will deliver tailored lessons designed around each student's individual needs, helping them build confidence, develop key academic skills, and make positive progress.
Location: Tutoring may take place in person at learners' homes, schools, or local libraries in Leicester, depending on the learners' needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging 1:1 SEN tutoring sessions tailored to each student's learning needs
- Support students with core subjects such as Maths, English, and Science
- Adapt teaching strategies to suit different learning abilities and additional needs
- Encourage confidence, independence, and positive learning habits
- Provide feedback on student progress where required
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of tutoring or teaching experience in the UK
- Experience supporting students with SEN (such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or learning difficulties)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual learning needs
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
- A genuine passion for helping students with additional needs succeed
