TP Tutors is looking for passionate and adaptable English and Maths Tutors to support learners in Chesterfield (S44). This role is ideal for teachers, teaching assistants, or experienced tutors who enjoy working one-to-one with pupils and helping them make meaningful academic progress. You’ll deliver personalised, face-to-face tuition designed to close learning gaps, build confidence, and improve pupils’ understanding of key English and Maths concepts. Sessions are tailored to each learner’s needs, allowing you to adapt your teaching approach and help pupils progress at a pace that works for them. Tuition typically takes place in the pupil’s home or in a local community setting such as a library, creating a focused environment where learners can receive the support they need to succeed.
What you’ll be doing:
- Deliver 1:1 tuition in English and Maths to pupils of varying abilities
- Plan engaging and personalised sessions based on individual learning needs
- Adapt teaching methods to suit different learning styles and confidence levels
- Help pupils build core subject knowledge, resilience, and motivation
- Monitor progress and provide constructive feedback and encouragement
What we’re looking for:
- Experience teaching or tutoring English and/or Maths

- Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one and subscribe to the Update Service)
