Do you have a passion for supporting young people with additional needs? We are currently looking for caring, dedicated, and enthusiastic Tutors to provide personalised 1:1 support to pupils across the CH2 Chester area. This is a highly rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference in the lives of children and young people who may require additional educational support due to SEN/SEND needs, anxiety, SEMH, Autism, ADHD, school avoidance, or gaps in learning.
Your Role
- Deliver engaging and tailored 1:1 tuition sessions
- Adapt learning approaches to suit each pupil's individual needs
- Support pupils academically, emotionally, and socially
- Build positive relationships with pupils, families, and schools
- Help students build confidence, independence, and engagement in learning
- Monitor progress and maintain accurate session records
- Create a safe, supportive, and encouraging learning environment
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 1 year teaching, tutoring, or SEN support experience within the UK
- Experience working with children or young people with additional needs
- Strong communication and behaviour management skills
- Patient, reliable, and adaptable approach
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
- Driving licence and access to transport preferred
Desirable Experience
- Experience supporting pupils with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or anxiety
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), Teaching Assistant, or tutoring background
- Experience delivering English, Maths, or Functional Skills support
