Are you an experienced and passionate 1:1 Tutor looking for a rewarding opportunity in Northumberland? We are looking for a dedicated tutor to provide personalised 1:1 tuition to a student with SEN, helping them build confidence, develop their academic skills, and make positive progress in their education.
The Role
- Deliver engaging and personalised 1:1 tuition tailored to the student's SEN needs.
- Plan lessons around the student's individual abilities, learning style, and targets.
- Use appropriate strategies to support learning and engagement.
- Support the student's academic progress, confidence, and emotional wellbeing.
- Manage behaviour positively and create a safe, supportive learning environment.
- Monitor progress and provide regular feedback.
- Work collaboratively with the school and wider support team.
Requirements
- Previous experience working with SEN students is essential.
- Experience delivering 1:1 tuition or teaching in an educational setting.
- Strong understanding of differentiated and personalised learning.
- Excellent communication and behaviour-management skills.
- Relevant teaching/tutoring qualifications are desirable.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
- Right to work in the UK.
