Make a Difference Where It Matters Most - Become a Tutor in Banbury.

Are you a patient, empathetic educator who believes in the power of second chances? We are seeking dedicated tutors to support vulnerable young people across Oxfordshire, particularly in Witney, Wantage, Bicester, and Didcot, who are currently out of mainstream education. Many of these students have experienced significant gaps in their learning, but with the right guidance, encouragement, and consistency, they can rebuild their confidence and rediscover a love for learning.

About the Role

You will deliver 1:1 or small-group tuition, typically between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm, helping students develop not only their academic skills but also their trust, motivation, and self-belief. Every session provides an opportunity to create a safe, supportive environment where every step of progress no matter how small is recognised and celebrated.

Availability

  • A minimum availability of 10-15 hours per week is required.
  • Flexible working hours within the school day to fit around your schedule.
  • Available to start in the September term.

What We're Looking For

  • Compassionate and empathetic, with the ability to build positive relationships.
  • Patient and adaptable, tailoring lessons to meet each learner's individual needs.
  • Experienced educators who understand that progress looks different for every young person.
  • Confident supporting students with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
  • Experienced in working with young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
  • Genuinely passionate about helping students rediscover the positives of learning.

Why This Role Matters

For many of the young people we support, education has not yet been a positive experience. Your role will be to help change that. Through creativity, encouragement, and consistency, you will support students to unlock their potential and build a brighter future.
