Role Responsibilities
- Support the monitoring of credit exposures related to the Group\βs cash on deposit, invoiced brokerage receivables, and matched principal broking activity
- Assist with the investigation and escalation of credit risk breaches, helping to ensure timely identification and communication to relevant stakeholders
- Support the administration of matched principal broking limits, including coordination with the business and the FRM Client Lifecycle unit to facilitate reallocation and maintain exposures within appetite.
- Contribute to the monitoring of potential margin and collateral call exposures, escalating issues as needed when appetite thresholds are breached
- Coordinate with business units and General Clearing Members to support the exchange-traded limit setting process
- Assist in monitoring market risk positions, ensuring appropriate escalation when thresholds are exceeded
- Prepare and maintain reporting outputs related to financial risk exposures, including daily reports, watchlists, and committee materials
- Act as a point of contact for exposure management queries within the region, providing support and guidance where required
- Support the preparation of materials for regional committees and governance forums, including deep dive MI as requested
- Participate in project-related activities impacting the department, such as system updates or vendor interactions
- Support control activities as assigned, including contributing to the annual control attestation process and assisting with remediation efforts
- Assist in maintaining departmental procedures related to tasks and controls, ensuring documentation remains current
- Promote awareness and compliance with the Code of Conduct, Risk Management Handbook, Compliance Manual, and relevant policies
Experience / Competences
- Experience working in a credit or financial risk environment, ideally as part of a team
- Basic understanding of counterparty credit risk and common risk measures like MTM and VaR
- Some exposure to financial markets and broking activities, including OTC and exchange-traded products
- Awareness of margin and collateral calls and how they affect liquidity
- General understanding of market risk and how it can arise from trading or broking
- Familiarity with the trade lifecycle and how it can lead to financial risk
- Able to produce clear and accurate reports for internal use
- Comfortable using data tools; programming knowledge is helpful but not essential
- Good attention to detail and communication skills; able to work with people at different levels
- Confident using internal systems to support risk monitoring and reporting
- Experience helping to improve processes or ways of working
