The equity execution trader role plays an instrumental part in our vision of being a leading agency equity single-stock and portfolio trading desk in the EMEA region and globally. The Equity Execution desk is a key component of the Liquidnet Equity division, managing and executing Algorithmic, Portfolio, and High Touch trading orders from clients. This position reports to the EMEA Head of Trading, who reports to the EMEA Head of Execution & Quantitative Services (EQS). The EQS team develops and supports a successful trading department, including trading desks, strategies, TCA & analytics, resources, and processes aligned with our business objectives.
Role Responsibilities:
- Meet trading revenue targets for the EMEA trading desk and collaborate with other teams, regions, and product lines to support their growth and goal achievement.
- Execute all equity orders across EMEA, focusing on single-stock equities, portfolio trading, and ETFs.
- Communicate trading strategies that align with Liquidnet’s core offerings.
- Monitor algo orders in real-time, providing excellent customer service, including market colour and benchmark selection, and manage client accounts, including onboarding.
- Analyze pre-trade data and communicate post-trade reports effectively.
- Utilize available resources to expand business and promote cross-selling of product lines.
- Build strong relationships and foster teamwork.
Experience / Competences:
- At least 3 years of experience as an Equity Trader or Sales Trader, with program trading and algorithmic trading experience preferred.
- Proven track record of selling to institutional clients to achieve business and revenue goals.
- Experience with quantitative trading strategies, pre- and post-trade analytics, including TCA.
- Deep understanding of market structure and regulations.
- Excellent communication skills, self-motivated, and responsible.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective presentation skills.
- High energy, driven, and committed to excellence.
- Willingness and ability to travel as required.
