Role Overview The QA Lead will manage a multi-disciplinary technical delivery team under the guidance of a Technical Development Manager (TDM), and with the support of the Architects and Principal Engineers. The QAL will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the QA processes for the platform, and ensure they follow an effective SDLC that compliments their delivery pipeline obligations. Role Responsibilities Quality assurance of software at a level which sets standards for others to follow Research new & relevant technologies Assist other team members with planning and estimation Coach & mentor more junior members of the team Effective collaboration with Group IT Architecture Facilitate and use team delivery metrics to assist with the estimation of milestone completion and feed this information into roadmap planning Ensure up-stream deliverables (for example test cases and requirements) are completed to a consistent level of completeness and detail, to help achieve successful delivery Help define project scope, goals and deliverables to support business and strategic initiatives Utilise preferred planning and prioritisation tooling to capture and track deliveries, identify issues and help with roadmap and iteration planning and prioritisation Ensure the team engages in a well defined SDLC that supports planning, prioritisation and delivery needs Experience / Competences Essential Very good understanding of Fixed Income instruments and markets, including applicable rules and regulations (Nice to have) A good understanding of the front-to-back trade lifecycle, including client facing UI, trading, middle & back office (booking, clearing), on-boarding, and reference data Understanding of the full project life cycle from requirements capture through to implementation and delivery Knowledge common testing methods and when to apply each Leadership experience within a software delivery team Prior experience in high volume/low latency electronic trading systems, such as those used for Equities, FX, and/or Futures (Nice to have) Experience to work with command by scrum or kanban metrology Experience in the testing of platforms and systems, using manual and automated testing methods includingA) Creating test cases for new features and raising defects and tracking them to get fixedB) Test coverage and status reportingC) Capturing test evidences Implemented a wide range of low cost test automation solutions using Open Source technologies Experience with load/performance test creation. Experience with setup auto tests for daily builds.
