This is a 12 month Fixed Term Contract as a maternity leave cover. As a Product Manager for Equities, you will be responsible for supporting the global Product management organisation and contribute into critical new global initiatives. We are looking for a person that can see the big picture while simultaneously defining detailed requirements in support of the business.
The position works closely with Sales, Trading, Product Support and Development as business requirements are transformed into the next version of Liquidnet. This includes organization of the global product organization and workflows, as well as starting to work on individual pieces of functionality within the overall offerings of Liquidnet.
Role Responsibilities- Work with the Product Management organisation globally to understand and document existing workflows and help to drive new initiatives
- Write detailed Business Requirements and Functional Specifications
- Build a technical understanding of how the product works and be able to determine how to compromise between end-user needs, technical limitations, and time to market goals. Track projects and maintain delivery timelines for the business
- Find opportunities to improve Liquidnet's product suite and deliver positive outcomes.
- Experience of working in a Product Management or similar team
- Knowledge of Equity Trading
- Experience working with Trading and Sales teams
- Excellent communication (both written and verbal) skills
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and structured thinking skills
- Ability to manage numerous and changing priorities, meet deadlines and communicate effectively with co-workers at all levels
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative, team oriented environment
- Knowledge of European Equity Market regulations and practices preferred
- Solid understanding of product development lifecycle
- Keen interest & understanding of financial markets
- Analytical mind-set with effective decision making and communication skills
- Motivated self-starter who takes ownership of their responsibilities, with the ability to work autonomously as well as in a team environment
- Demonstrates a desire to continually improve and is willing to participate in new projects and helping other departments within the company
