About COEX

COEX ETD desk covers Banks, Hedge funds and Real Money accounts providing market analysis, trade idea implementation and listed execution. The desk trades STIRS/Fixed Income, Equity Indexes across a multitude of currencies.

Role Overview

This is an entry level role and will provide the successful application with on-the-job training and vast exposure to the fast-paced financial markets. We are ideally looking for a bright and enthusiastic individual that can work autonomously and collaboratively in a small team and can think on their feet. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a highly experienced team and would be perfect for somebody looking to start their career in Financial Services.

You do not require a degree for this opportunity but proven academia in mathematics is a pre-requisite either at GCSE’s and / or A-Level’s or equivalent qualification(s) are required.

As a Junior Trading Assistant, you will provide essential support to our trading team, helping to streamline operations, manage data, and conduct preliminary analysis. Your role is pivotal in ensuring that our trading activities run smoothly and efficiently.

Role Responsibilities

1. Provide complete support to the brokers for the smooth running of the desk.
2. Ensure timely and accurate input of trades into trading systems.
3. Resolve any trade queries received internally and externally, and ensure any trade discrepancies are resolved in a timely manner.
4. Provide input on various projects for brokers and traders.
5. Reconcile and match broker commissions to trade and update the commission allocation report.
6. Monitor markets and follow financial news and developments.
7. Understand the underlying products being traded and keep up to date with knowledge of new products/procedures.
8. Complete any mandatory training by the required deadlines.
9. Act with integrity and due skill, care and diligence in carrying out your duties.
