The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
The engineer will be required to deal with projects throughout the UK but prominently within 2 hours from the office. Role includes condition surveys and working on projects from concept/feasibility stage, through design and construction to commissioning and handover under the guidance of a Partner.
Skills shall include but are not limited to the following:
- Heat loss & gain calculations
- Gas calculations
- HTG & CHW pump & pipe sizing calculations
- Ventilation calculations
- Public Health calculations
- Part L Compliance checking
- Designs to include equipment selection and specification writing
- Design and specification of renewable technologies
- Liaison with utility companies for new and diversion of existing services
- Liaison with architects, clients, structural engineers, and contractors
- Project Management
- Site inspections
Qualifications and experience:
- British or European citizen or otherwise working rights in UK
- Degree qualified in mechanical engineering
- Experience: Working as mechanical (building services) design engineer (preferably in the UK)
- Good design knowledge/skills
Essential experience:
- Working knowledge of CIBSE Design Guides
- Working knowledge of relevant British Standards
- Education, leisure, residential and mixed-use sectors
- AutoCAD MEP
Preferential but not essential experience:
- Healthcare
- Science
- Familiarity with BREEAM, and implications for M&E design
- Revit MEP
Applicant Criteria:
- Reside locally to Tring or able to relocate
- Own transport available + valid driver’s licence
- Ideally available to commence immediately or under short notice
- Permanent position
