bennett are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Urban Designer with a strong GIS/CAD focus to support the delivery of large-scale masterplanning projects and be a part of a growing team. The ideal candidate will have 3β4 years of professional experience in urban planning, architecture, or landscape architecture environments, with a strong focus on the Middle East region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the GIS and CAD workflows across masterplanning projects, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
- Develop and manage spatial databases, maps, and visualizations to support planning and design decisions.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including urban designers, planners, and engineers.
- Translate conceptual designs into detailed CAD drawings and GIS datasets.
- Integrate GIS analysis into planning reports and presentations.
- Maintain drawing standards and ensure compliance with project and regional requirements.
- Support site analysis, land use planning, and infrastructure mapping using GIS tools.
- Liaise with clients and stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliverables.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelorβs degree in Geography, Urban Planning, Architecture, or a related field.
- 3β4 years of experience working on large-scale masterplanning projects.
- Proven experience working on projects in the Middle East (e.g., Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar).
- Proficiency in GIS software (ArcGIS, QGIS) and CAD tools (AutoCAD, Civil 3D).
- Strong understanding of spatial analysis, data management, and cartographic principles.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with BIM integration and 3D modelling tools (e.g., Rhino, Revit).
- Familiarity with regional planning regulations and cultural contexts in the Middle East.
- Knowledge of scripting or automation tools (e.g., Python, ModelBuilder) is a plus.
