tp bennett is seeking a Specification Lead to join our Technical Group. This is a critical, hands-on role where you will act as the technical anchor for our project teams, bridging the gap between our rich architectural heritage and our digital future.
We are looking for an experienced technical professional to write robust specifications for high-profile Architecture and Interior Fit-out projects, while helping to guide our ongoing transition to a Uniclass 2015 environment within NBS Chorus.
What you will do
- Technical authoring: Actively collaborate with design teams to write, review, and coordinate specifications for projects of varying scale and complexity across both architecture and interiors.
- Process improvement: Work closely with the Head of Technical and our BIM team to integrate Uniclass 2015 coding seamlessly with our Revit models.
- Knowledge sharing: Help capture the technical expertise of our staff, translating it into detailed specifications.
- Mentorship: Act as a go-to resource, guiding and upskilling project architects and interior designers on specification best practices and the Building Safety Act.
What we are looking for
- Solid proven background in technical delivery within the UK AEC industry, with a strong grasp of both architectural shell & core and interior packages.
- Proven, hands-on proficiency with NBS Chorus and a clear understanding of Uniclass 2015 classification.
- You are collaborative, patient, and enjoy solving complex technical puzzles. You are comfortable mentoring others and bringing structure to project data within architecture and interior design teams.
Qualifications: MCIAT, ARB/RIBA, or equivalent technical background.
