This is a senior, client-facing role for a confident leader who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced studio environment and is passionate about delivering high-quality, sustainable workplace projects.

Working closely with the Directors, you will lead workplace interior projects from early client engagement and concept design through to delivery across RIBA Stages 0–6. The role requires a strong all-rounder: a strategic thinker with excellent design sensibility, technical expertise, and proven experience managing teams, clients, and complex project workflows. You will play a key role in shaping design direction, nurturing client relationships, and stepping in to lead the team when required.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
  • Collaborate with Directors on workplace interior fit-out and refurbishment projects, taking a lead role across the full project lifecycle.
  • Act as a trusted, client-facing advisor, leading meetings, presentations, and workshops, and managing client expectations throughout the project.
  • Drive early-stage client engagement, briefing, concept development, and design strategy, with a strong focus on quality and innovation.
  • Lead projects through RIBA Stages 0–6, ensuring design excellence, technical rigour, and smooth coordination between all stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and manage client, consultant, contractor, and internal team requirements to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Oversee the preparation and review of design, technical, and presentation deliverables, including AutoCAD and Revit drawing packages, 3D visuals, and Enscape outputs.
  • Manage and mentor junior interior designers, fostering a positive, motivated, and high-performing team culture.
  • Take responsibility for programme management, cost planning, and budget control in collaboration with the wider project team.
  • Lead the selection and specification of finishes, materials, and FF&E, ensuring alignment with client aspirations, sustainability goals, and budget parameters.
  • Champion sustainability principles and support the delivery of projects that align with client sustainability strategies and best practice.
  • Work across multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a consistently high standard of design and delivery.
  • Provide leadership cover and decision-making support when Directors are away, ensuring continuity across projects and teams.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
  • Degree-qualified in Interior Design or Architecture.
  • Solid industry experience, with a strong track record delivering workplace interior projects.
  • Demonstrable experience running projects across RIBA Stages 0–6, with particular strength at the front-end design and client engagement stages.
  • Proven expertise in client-facing roles, including presentations, stakeholder management, and relationship building within workplace design.
  • Highly skilled in AutoCAD (expert level), with intermediate proficiency in Revit and Enscape.
  • Strong understanding of technical detailing, construction processes, and on-site delivery.
  • Excellent conceptual design, presentation, and communication skills, with the ability to articulate ideas clearly and persuasively.
  • Proven experience leading, managing, and motivating design teams.
  • A strong designer with a keen eye for detail, quality, and materiality, while remaining hands-on across all stages of the project process.
  • Well-rounded knowledge of the full interior design workflow, from early-stage strategy and concept design through to completion.
  • A self-motivated, positively minded, and collaborative team player who thrives in a studio environment.
  • Passion for sustainability and experience implementing sustainable design strategies in line with client objectives.
  • Flexible, organised, and able to prioritise workloads effectively in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment.
