The Opportunity

Are you a fully qualified Electrician looking to build a long-term career in renewable energy? Would you like to work on large-scale solar and battery storage projects while receiving industry-leading training and progression opportunities? This is an excellent opportunity to join a specialist renewable energy operations team working across utility-scale, ground-mounted solar PV and battery storage assets along the M4 Corridor (Swindon, Bristol, Reading).

The Role

As an Electrician, you will be responsible for planned and reactive operations and maintenance activities across multiple renewable energy sites. You’ll play a key role in ensuring assets operate safely, efficiently, and to the highest performance standards, while working closely with a highly skilled O&M team. This is a field-based role with strong long-term career development, including specialist renewable and HV training.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned inspections and preventative maintenance in line with legal, technical, manufacturer, and contractual requirements
  • Perform inspection, testing, fault-finding, and maintenance of electrical plant and equipment
  • Complete reactive maintenance to minimise downtime and maximise site performance
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and compile reports
  • Adhere to all health & safety procedures and actively contribute to improving safety standards across sites
  • Liaise with the wider O&M and engineering teams

Requirements

  • Fully qualified Electrician (time-served apprenticeship preferred)
  • Industrial and/or commercial electrical experience
  • Renewable energy, solar PV or BESS experience advantageous but not essential
  • Full UK driving licence

Salary & Benefits

  • Base salary up to £42,000
  • OTE £45,000 – £50,000
