About the Company: We are working in partnership with a leading renewable energy organisation specialising in utility-scale solar farms and battery energy storage systems (BESS). Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an HSE Advisor to support the HSE Manager across multiple projects throughout the UK.

The Role: As HSE Advisor, you will play a key role in supporting both pre-construction and site-based activities, ensuring the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance across renewable energy projects.

Key responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing HSE policies, procedures, and systems specific to utility-scale solar and BESS projects
  • Providing HSE advice and guidance to project teams, contractors, and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
  • Conducting site inspections, audits, and risk assessments, identifying hazards and ensuring compliance with legislation and best practice
  • Supporting incident investigations, reporting, and corrective actions where required
  • Promoting a strong safety culture across all project sites

Candidate Requirements: To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

  • A recognised NEBOSH qualification (or equivalent)
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001
  • Experience within solar, wind, BESS, or other high-risk construction/engineering environments
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with multiple project teams
  • A full UK driving licence
