An exciting opportunity has become available for a Junior Engineer to join a growing renewable energy and heating team based in Newark. This role is ideal for someone passionate about sustainability, renewable technology, and developing a long-term career in the plumbing and heating industry. You’ll support experienced engineers on air source and ground source heat pump installations, gaining valuable on-site experience while receiving ongoing training and development opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist engineers with the installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing and heating systems in domestic and commercial properties.
- Support the installation of renewable energy systems, including heat pumps and associated components.
- Work effectively with hand tools and power tools for various plumbing tasks.
- Perform pipe threading, fittings, and system preparation under supervision.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks to ensure systems run efficiently.
- Maintain a high standard of health and safety on-site.
- Deliver excellent customer service and represent the company professionally.
- Work closely with the installation team to ensure projects are completed on time and to specification.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience as a Plumber’s Mate, Assistant, or Trainee (preferred).
- Confidence using a range of tools and equipment safely.
- Full UK driving licence (preferred).
