As a Building Services Manager, you'll lead mechanical and electrical services on building refurbishments - shaping solutions that work in the real world, not just on paper. You'll gain exposure to a wide range of sectors and work directly with end-user clients, giving you valuable insight into how design decisions affect building performance and user satisfaction.
You’ll collaborate daily with architects, interior designers, project managers and quantity surveyors, broadening your understanding of the full project lifecycle. And with two Directors set to retire in the next few years, you'll have a clear path to senior leadership if that's where you want to go.
What you'll do:
- Take ownership on refurbishment projects, shaping systems that balance performance, cost and buildability.
- Lead both pre- and post-contract stages, including tender reviews, technical input, value engineering and risk analysis.
- Manage programme constraints and phasing, ensuring your designs fit seamlessly into live environments and phased construction.
- Oversee subcontractor proposals, checking compliance and CDM requirements, and maintain strong communication with clients and project teams throughout.
- Hands-on experience in building services, covering both mechanical and electrical systems.
