Toyota Racing is looking for a highly skilled Senior Powertrain Design Engineer (m/f/d) with deep experience in high‑performance ICE development. This role is aimed at engineers with a strong background in Formula 1 or a comparable top‑tier motorsport environment, especially those who have designed engine components, core ICE systems or prototype power units. You will play a key role in the design and development of advanced engine components for current and future motorsport programmes. Your Responsibilities
- Design and develop high‑performance ICE components including structural and rotating parts.
- Create, optimise and release 3D models and technical drawings using CATIA V5.
- Drive prototype layouts and contribute to concept, validation and performance optimisation.
- Collaborate closely with Simulation, Testing, Manufacturing, Materials and Assembly teams.
- Analyse mechanical, functional and durability requirements for motorsport applications.
- Support technical planning and cross-functional discussions for future powertrain programmes.
Your Profile
- 5+ years of experience in engine or engine component design within high‑performance/prototype environments.
- Advanced CATIA V5 user with strong modelling, detailing and release capabilities.
- Formula 1 experience in power unit or ICE component design.
- Deep understanding of high‑performance engine mechanics, thermomechanics and system behaviour.
- Knowledge of the latest Formula 1 or other top class motorsport technologies.
- Comfortable working in rapid development cycles with high technical responsibility.
- Ideally experience with H2‑ICE topics, advanced materials or failure analysis.
