We are seeking a highly skilled freelance Japanese–English interpreter and translator to support our project teams with high‑quality language services. If you enjoy working in a dynamic, cross‑cultural environment and have strong linguistic and technical abilities, we would love to hear from you.

What You Will Do

  • Provide online interpreting for regular project meetings (approx. 3 days per week)
  • Conduct onsite interpreting for workshops and coordination meetings in Cologne (approx. 2 days per week)
  • Translate technical documents, presentations, meeting materials, and reports (JP ↔ EN, JP ↔ DE optional)
  • Ensure clear, precise communication between stakeholders in Japan and Europe
  • Prepare terminology and maintain accuracy in fast‑moving discussions

What You Bring

  • Japanese: JLPT N1 or higher
  • English: CEFR C1 or higher
  • Several years of freelance interpreting and translation experience
  • Strong skills in simultaneous and consecutive interpreting
  • Ability to translate technical content clearly and reliably
  • A professional, structured, and proactive way of working
